Win a Roald Dahl boxset (15 books) with Exclusive Books for Roald Dahl Day

September 3, 2014

It’s Roald Dahl Day on Saturday September 13 (the date this writer was born), and Exclusive Books is giving away a set of 15 assorted books written by him. Exclusive Books is also hosting a Roald Dahl Day party on the 13th at stores around Joburg (details below).

If you’re not in Joburg for the event, then why not “celebrate” by reading a Roald Dahl title to your kids, or even re-reading your favourites – my bests are The Twits, James and The Giant Peach, and The Enormous Crocodile. Leading Roald Dahl titles are available at Exclusive Books (store or online).

Ah! Roald Dahl is the author who first inspired me to take up reading. “The Witches” was the very first book I bought myself out of my own savings and I can still recite the Grand High Witch’s “Down Vith Children” poem from memory! I bought the Roald Dahl Omnibus for my kids in London a few years back but was disappointed to learn that it only contains snippets of his best known books. This is truly a prize to covet!
