Win all the “Sense” books here – Baby Sense, Sleep Sense, Feeding Sense and Toddler Sense

April 7, 2016

If there was one book that gave me the most insight into babies, and taught me that crucial point of how to tell if your baby is overstimulated, it was Baby Sense. It's one of the bestselling babycare books in South Africa, and is consistently so too. This award-winning book is joined by three others in the series, and this week, Metz Press and I are giving a set of Sense books (even if you're not a new parent, or even have a toddler, this set makes a phenomenal gift, and will unlikely be a present that ever gathers dust).

The series includes:

Baby Sense

Baby Sense tells you how to:

• Recognise and understand your toddler’s unique sensory profile
• Manage stimulation to avoid overload
• Solve bedtime battles with age-appropriate sleep-training
• Discipline with love and a sense of humour
• Follow a sensible approach to toilet training
• Monitor and encourage development
• Feed your toddler and manage fussy eating in the toddler years
• Recognise learning disorders for early intervention

Sleep Sense

Simple, sensible solutions to ensure you and your baby will get a good night’s sleep by establishing healthy sleeping habits. Learn to set the stage for sleep with:

• realistic expectations
• appropriate sensory experiences during the day
• the right sleep zone
• the elimination of hunger or medical reasons for night wakings
• healthy and sufficient day sleeps
• good sleep associations to help your baby re-settle by himself
• solutions for separation issues.

In addition Sleep sense offers an age-related trouble shooting section where desperate parents will find quick fixes.

Feeding Sense

Uncertain of what to eat in pregnancy or while breastfeeding? Challenges with breast or bottle feeding? Or just looking for practical guidelines on introducing solids? Whether you have a fussy eater or an allergic baby, Feeding Sense guides you through all your baby’s feeding milestones.
