My best app of the month: OrderIn (amazing for busy families)

February 8, 2017

Food delivery apps aren't new, but what makes OrderIn a cut above the rest, in my opinion, is that you don't pay extra for the food. Other food-delivery services will put a markup on every meal, but with OrderIn, what you pay via the app is what you would pay at the restaurant, plus just R10 (lunch) or R20 (dinner) for delivery to your home. There's also an option for you to pick up from the restaurant.

It's easy to use – download, put in your address, find a restaurant in your area, order what you like (you can also add notes to your order, if, for example, you want to omit something). You can track your driver, but you'll also get SMS notifications throughout the delivery service.

I've used the service twice, and dinner has been served in under 45 minutes. I love the ease, I love that I can track my area's driver Ronald, and I love that the "hardest" thing I need to do to prepare dinner is choose what I want from my 'hood. Currently, there are a whopping 17 restaurants in my 'hood, catering to my tastes, fussiness, cravings and eating plans!
