The social media platform that makes me feel totally happy

June 13, 2018

It was at the #JoziMeetup a few weeks ago that I logged into Pinterest again after hearing Laura talking about the impact that Pinterest was having on her blog. It had been so long since logging in that I had forgotten my password, so had to do a re-set.

As I starting pinning all the doughnuts, and creating French poodle, ice cream and croquembouche boards, I was reminded why I used to love Pinterest so much. And I started wondering why on earth I left the platform in the first place.

Despite the beautiful styling and wonderful curation of content on Pinterest, I feel more at home here than so many other platforms. There’s prettiness around me, no fighting about race or religion, no pics of dog abuse, and no overthinking of everyone’s “perfect” Instagram lives. On Pinterest, it’s just about the delicious doughnuts, pretty baby nurseries, cute Hello Kitty gear, perfect Paris and more.

Are you on Pinterest? Let me know and I can follow you. I can be found here.

I love it too!!! You are so right, other platforms have become political and who needs so much negativity when there are unicorn macaroons (going to pin that now!) I also like the ‘secret board’ option 🙂 Profile: melindaqueck

Pinterest is amazing! I’ve been awol there for a while now because real life is so interfering when it comes to the good things, sometimes. LOL. I’ve been overlooking the email notices I get from them but I think I’ll also go back… thanks for the reminder 🙂
