It’s been a while since I’ve listed what I’m loving, so here is my roundup of stuff I’m using and loving.
1. Catrice mascara
My makeup-loving friend Lexie recommended this to me, and generally whatever she says goes. This mascara costs around R54, is available from Dis-Chem, and is superb. It has a great wand that makes for easy application, and I find the mascara to be non-clump, and waterproof (plus it makes my lashes look much longer).
2. Giorgio Armani Si
This is a sweet spring and summer favourite, and available from around R750 at perfume and cosmetics stores.
3. Essie in Where’s My Chauffeur
This is one of the best blues I’ve ever tried, and it looks sensational on. From around R100 at chemists at nail salons.
4. Assorted low fat flavoured milk
My best flavour is vanilla fudge, and it’s a relatively guilt-free low-fat treat. Kids will love them too.
5. Twinsavers men’s tissues
This might be random, but these are the best things, and I don’t know why I didn’t start using them earlier. They’re three ply, and I now keep theme everywhere. They’re particularly good to run with if you’re a runner and usually carry tissues with you.
6. Q-DOS Q-BOPZ speaker
This is a bluetooth wireless speaker that you can attach to various devices and surfaces, and works within a 10m radius of the music source. From R399 at iStore.
7. Sugar-free Orange Ade
I used to love Diet Fanta, but around two years, it disappeared from shelves. Enter Orange Ade from Woolworths. It’s sugar free, and it’s my new favourite diet drink.
8. Pastel Moleskine notebooks
I can’t have enough notebooks, and these pastel Moleskines from Exclusive Books are my best. Available from around R130 for a three-pack.
9. The Shake
This is a great website for all kinds of trends, news, random stuff, and articles. It’s one of those sites I browse daily.
10. Love Taza
I was late to start reading this, but this is one of the most beautiful and interesting-to-read mom blogs, and it’s written from New York, which only adds to the “wow”.
