It’s National Children’s Day on November 3, as well as the 5km Nappy Run at the Joburg Zoo. It’s a fundraising event for kids with disabilities, organised by the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilitis, and the National Association of Persons with Cerebral Palsy.
We know it’s a great cause, but the day is also an opportunity to have fun, get some exercise and make it a day with your family. Organisers are also encouraging walkers and runners to wear a nappy – a cloth nappy over your shorts, or a nappy bandana-style on your head, or even as a “necklace”.
What you need to know:
When: 3 November, 9am (register between 7.30am and 8.30am)
Where: Johannesburg Zoo
* The Nappy Run campaign runs from October to December, with other Nappy Runs happening around the country
