I love the new Grip & Go from Consol, a glass bottle for liquids that are great for keeping in the car, nappy bag or handbag. It holds 500ml and has a silicone sleeve and twist-off lid.

I don’t know about you, but ever since that scary warning went out a few years ago that ordinary plastic water bottles should not be used more than two or three times owing to cancer risks, I never refill bottles, which means I don’t drink that much, or have to fork out for water.

As for the rest of Consol jars, I may or may not have a problem when it comes to buying. I use them for storing everything from nuts and sweets to crayons and toy cars, and for my son’s party a few weeks ago, I made up favours comprising a glass jar with sweets and a chalk label on each. On my desk are jars filled with highlighters, Hello Kitty pens and pencils (another “problem”), pens and markers.
