Some wonderful book collections for little readers

December 13, 2012

I don’t think you can ever have enough shoes or books, the former to prettify, and the latter to educate and entertain. Pan Macmillan recently sent some very cool kiddie books that I’m loving reading to my toddler, and that he’s enjoying looking at and listening from (and pulling the pop-out trucks, obviously).

These series of books are all new to me, and it’s refreshing to discover books other than the usual favourites (Spot, Gruffalo, Kipper, Maisy etc). I hope you and your kids get to enjoy some of them. Look out for them at bookshops at Exclusive Books. I’ve also found most of them at Takealot at good prices.

Pop-up series:

Fun, interactive, rhyming

Pop-up mask series:

Loads of fun to play with and make funny faces with, great visuals

Abney & Teal series:

Lovely illustrations, exciting stories, likeable characters

Tilly and Friends series:

Each book is about a different “friend’ who lives with Tilly. This is a charming and feel-good series of books.

Those look wonderful, I will look out for them. We visit the library every week but I think we have read nearly everything in there, some of them twice.
