Chocolate and no-bake in the same sentence? Yes please! I found this easy recipe in the Ella’s Kitchen cookbook (I wrote about it here, and the cookbook is now available in South Africa at Woolworths).
I chose the recipe because it’s easy, and because you can adapt the recipe according to your tastes, what your kids want to add, or what you’ve got in your cupboard. The original recipe calls for raisins, which I omitted. Next time I might add pecan nuts or macadamias, or even marshmallows.
I also used milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate, and I think Bar Ones would be amazing here too.
The recipe is easy to follow with your kids, and aside from the waiting time in the fridge (a few minutes here and there between stages), you will be enjoying these choc squares in no time.
Enjoy! They’re mildly addictive.
