P&G does it yet again with another tear-jerker ad

February 20, 2014

Shew, these Procter & Gamble get everything right when it comes to sending out strong messages to moms, and evoking a whole lotta feeling.

First there was the Olympic Mother’s Day ad in 2012 and then there was the “Thank You Mom” campaign for the Sochi Winter Olympics which I featured a few weeks ago.

Now comes the “World’s Toughest Moms” ad, which has just flighted overseas ahead of the Paralympic Games which start on March 7. It also thanks moms, and features kids and athletes with missing limbs.

The narrative is beautiful and uplifting: “You could have protected me. You could have taken every hit. You could have turned the world upside down so I would never feel pain. But you didn’t. You gave me my freedom. Because you were strong. And now, so am I.”

Pass the tissues. Again.
