Story of the week: Huggies donates 10 000 nappies to charity, and Jeremy Mansfield lends a hand

July 18, 2014

How’s this for another feel-good story… Huggies joined forces with the Ballz Radio ONE Wingz of Change initiative to help babies and toddlers from the Compass Charity organisation.  Together with Jeremy Mansfield, who we know has a massive heart and compassion for kids, more than 10 000 Huggies nappies were donated to the organisation which looks after 102 babies and children, aged from newborn to 17 years.

“One of my main wishes for the ONE Wingz of Change was to make an impact on the lives of children who are in need.  Our thanks go out to Huggies who generously came forward to assist us in helping to ease the lives of these little kids who have sadly already experienced too many hardships,” says Jeremy Mansfield. The Jeremy Mansfield Show is broadcasted on Ballz Radio on weekends. This show has a special feature called Jeremy’s Wish which works through ONE Wingz of Change, part of Ballz Radio’s outreach programme which provides help to someone in need through the aid of the Mark Scott Trust.

Children from the Compass Organisation come from abused and abandoned, terminally ill, impoverished and previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

The charity which also has a rehabilitation program for homeless women and children provide professional counselling programs through registered counsellors and mental health practitioners.

This is not the first time Huggies has given to needy organisations, and they have a strong ethos of helping. I’ve written before about similar initiatives where they’ve given to Othandweni Children’s Home and Child Welfare, to name just two recent initiatives.
