When her teensdidn’t answer her calls, one mom from Houston didn’t get mad. But she got even.
Sharon Standifird, who served in the Gulf War, decided to do something about her son’s refusal to answer her calls, or return her text messages. So she started researching how to develop an app, and later developed Ignore No More. Basically, the Android app ($1.99) locks a phone if a child doesn’t pick up a mom’s call.
On the Ignore No More website, she writes: “When you lock your child’s phone with Ignore No More your child has only two options — he or she can call you back, or call for an emergency responder. No calls to friends, no text, no games, notta’ until they call you back. When they do, you can unlock their phone if you choose to do so. How’s that for parental control?”
What are your thoughts? A good idea? Or too controlling?
