News this week: Milo celebrates 80 years, and Standard Bank launches banking app for phones

Nestlé Milo is 80 years old this year, which makes me a bit nostalgic as it was my childhood warm comfort drink, plus I drank it every day during my pregnancy as the cravings called. Loudly.

There’s a limited-edition birthday Milo tin on shop shelves, plus you can win a share of R50 000 in sports equipment if you share your best Milo memories and what you love about the original recipe on the MILO® website, www.milo.co.za.

The limited-edition is available in a 500g pack which will have two extra servings.

Standard Bank launches mobile app

Also news is that Standard Bank launched its banking app for smartphones, following the launch of its tablet app in March.

I don’t bank with Standard Bank, but the only way I generally do my banking is via my app – it’s quick, easy and safe.

Apparently, the Standard Bank app lets you customise and personalise your dashboard, and is available for free on iOS and Android.
