I wish i had the Look Birdy app back in the day when I would try unsuccessfully to get my toddler to look at my phone when I was taking a pic of him. Look Birdy is a simple app that, say the developers, solves the first-world problem of kids not looking at the camera when you're photographing them.
The app, created by Melbourne Dad Ben Keenan with programming help from his friend Rhys Sullivan uses an iPhones flash as an "attractor", while making attention-grabbing bird noises that attract kids to look up and at the camera for pictures.
It's available for free on iTunes, and it's really worth a download – it even worked on my dogs, who looked into my phone beautifully for a pic.
