I've been wanting to do a feature like this for ages – a weekly post about specials and savings. I'm always on the lookout for bargains, so I thought I'd share what I come across weekly. This is by no means an exhaustive list of what's on sale or special in South Africa. Rather, it's stuff that has caught my eye, and that I think is great to share with you.
This is also one of those series where I'll be relying on you, the reader, to share cool specials you've seen lately, so if you're keen and able, please comment below, and I'll add it to the post.
Happy shopping – and saving!
1 Clicks is running a couple of "3 for 2" promotions, and my best is for Cetaphil products – pay for two and get the cheapest one for free. I think this offer is valid until November 6. You can also buy any two of the selected Dove shampoos and conditioners for R90 (for both).

2 The Body Shop has a "3 for 2" promotion too – the cheapest product out of your three is for free. I think this is a brilliant opportunity for early Christmas and teacher-gift shopping. Either use the third product as a gift, or keep it for yourself – even better!
3 I generally don't buy nappies anywhere else but Takealot. Their starting prices are pretty good and they have regular savings off the big brands like Huggies. There's a current offer of 24% off Huggies Little Swimmers – great to stock up on for now or the summer holidays.
4 Pick n Pay also has specials on Huggies Gold nappies – you can save up to R20 on packets of 54 to 72 nappies, until 6 November. There are also big savings off the Johnson's Vita Rich range, which are some of the sweetest-smelling and most wonderful ranges I'm using lately. This is an affordable range to start with, and you can get a further R10 and more for creams, and over R4 for soaps.
5 Naartjie has an 25% off sale in store – I often use sales such as these to stock up on stuff for next season too.
6. Toy Kingdom is selling all LEGO for 20% less, online and instore. This is a great opportunity to buy early Christmas presents.
Please note that the prices and specials are correct at time of post publication.
