Win a Logitech Circle security camera worth R3 999 (a brilliant mother’s helper for Mother’s Day!)

May 9, 2017

Two months ago I wrote about the fantastic Logitech Circle, and now this brilliant device could live in on of your homes, and be your eyes and ears when you're not around.

To recap, the Logitech Circle smart home camera, you can see who's at your front door, monitor your baby and what the caregivers are doing when you're not home, or even check to see if the kids have done their homework before you get home.

The Circle is a cloud-based Wi-Fi camera with a rechargeable battery that you play wherever you want (by your intercom or on your kids' bookshelf, for example). Via an app on your cellphone, you can remotely check in to the camera for a live view, or else review up to 24 hours in the past via the cloud (you can create a free account when you set up).

It also has a night vision mode, motion detection alerts and two-way communication, the latter quite fun or useful if you want to tell your dogs to get off the couch, or tell your kids to do their homework.

To enter to win

Simply comment below, mention why your mom or the mother figure in your life is a #LogiSuperMum, and you'll be entered into the draw. The giveaway closes on Monday 15 May at 9am, after which the winner will be announced on the Rattle and Mum Facebook page, and then emailed.

This giveaway is open to South African residents only, and the prize cannot be exchanged for cash, or anything else in the Logitech range.

PS: You don't need to be a mom or even a woman to enter

My mom is the best, she’s the only person who knows my annoying habits and still loves me for them. She never fails to tell me she loves me at least once a day. She will go above and beyond, through the toughest of conditions, just to make sure I’m happy. She’s the one who stands beside me, when everyone else has walked away. She will never stay mad at me or hold a grudge. While friendships are wonderful and necessary, the only stable and consistent love you will ever have in this world is from your mother. She is the only one who will always be there in the middle of the night ready to answer your call. She’s the only one who actually cares to hear about every moment of your day. My mother has always been and always will be my best friend. #LogiSuperMum

Definitely my mum. as she is the strongest person I know. My father worked long hours, and she almost raised my brother and I by herself. My dad was the strong silent type, so in order to buy us all the niceties in life, she started her own dressmaking home business, so she could bring in extra money for her family. She worked long strenuous hours to help my brother and I further our studies after school. No language can express her beauty, inside and out, her heroism and her love. She is selfless and her love is unconditional. My mom is most definitely the best Mom in the world. #LogiSuperMum,

#LogiSuperMum to be honest, I have two super #LogiSuperMum ‘s in my life, my own mom has been through hell and back and is still on a road of recovery after spending 4 months in hospital and another 4 in a home after she had very unexpected issues after a “normal procedure” operation.

My mom in law is my other #LogiSuperMum, supporting me through all my crazyness from dating her only son, to getting engaged, married, and finally after 7 years of fighting our own battle to give her grandchildren she so desired.

I cannot wait for our baby to meet these two awesome grannies, and I know this little baby will be spoiled beyond belief, but that is what #LogiSuperGrannies are for aren’t they 😉

My Mother, my rock and my Super hero. She is such an inspiration not only to me, all her kids and the people that she touches their hearts. she raised the 5 of us, She always tell us to use the little we have to get bigger things in life. She hates to see anyone going to bed with an empty stomach and make sure she plants veggies to give food to those who need. At 67 she is still the strongest and pillar of strength. As an old lady that lives alone this camera would be ideal to have and having this would show how much we think of her always and she would appreciate the thought.

My mom is a #LogiSuperMum because she has been the most amazing role model to me; she has never steered me in the wrong direction, she allowed me to make my own mistakes without so much as an “I told you so.” She afforded me the space to grow and learn for myself without ever being so far away that you weren’t able to help when I needed you. She is my mom, my mentor, my strength, my number one fan and, most of all, my best friend. She has always been a constant force in an ever-changing life.

#LogiSuperMum My Mom is the absolute best and she inspires me because from the moment I laid eyes on her I knew this would be a lifetime of love and commitment. Someone who would love me unconditionally, who would guide me through all the ups and downs, never judging me, always supporting me. A mother is the truest friend we have. My mother was there for me throughout my pregnancy, guiding me as I learnt to deal with constant nausea, holding my hand as I threatened to miscarry, never giving up on this miracle inside of me, easing me into motherhood and teaching me that unconditional love is the root of motherhood, crying with me as I lost one baby after another, looking after me as I went through hours of labour losing yet another baby. I have my miracle child, despite being told I never would and my Mother has been that special bond, that glue that holds me together and I can only hope and pray that I will one day be just half the woman she is, someone who is loving, kind, giving and never has a bad word to say about anyone, always seeing the good in every situation and never losing faith!

My mom is a Logisupermom because she never gave up on me. Doctors told her I would never walk and be mentally disabled. They told her to institutionalise me. Mom was determined and got me all the help I needed. Did hours of physiotherapy, fought with schools and doctors who didn’t believe in me… today I can walk, drive, anything I want to do I will. I have a degree and a little newborn son. I owe my life to my mother. She fought for me to be given respect as a person and taught me to believe in myself.

My mother, Margaret, is the light in our family and inspires me like no other person on this earth. From her shines true love that would sow love in every member of the family. She shows true compassion that is needed to link each family member towards unity. She is the epitome of a woman through her beliefs, decisions and care as shown by her noble love. Maggie Matthew is a #LogiSuperMum.
Mother’s wise words of advice filled with tenderness remains with each of her 3 daughters in how she taught us to forgive and keep our hearts pure and open and never to allow envy or jealousy to ever set in. I am able to remain calm even in the most adverse of situations due to the resilience that she has cultivated in me.
I admire my mother for the years that she silently put others first, before herself. She would wake up in the wee hours of the morning just to feed us. She sacrificed her sleep just to keep an eye on her gentle and delicate baby. She hums beautiful lullabies as she promises her child the comfort in life and the everlasting love that she is willing to offer. As we grew up she guided us not just on our first steps but also in first words. She opened us to the beauty that the world can offer. She chose to be with us whenever we were sick. She would skip workdays just to attend school meetings, birthdays and other occasions. And still she provides comfort in times of heartaches and sufferings. She is willing to lend an open hand whenever we face difficulties in life. She guides us to the right path. She utters encouraging words to give strength. My mother is the most forgiving person. No matter how painful words from us may hurt her, she would still be the one to initiate to close the gaps between us. She initiates peace and love so that the family would stay bonded together. She always humbles herself for the welfare of her family. She knows how to forgive and forget. A mother is the first to feel pain in times of indifferences and conflicts that each family member is going through but she knows how to be strong to transform pain into courage to shed hope during rough times. She is the first person to save her child from the untoward incidents that we may face in this cruel world. A mother would always be a mother. No matter where she goes, no matter what she does, she will remain to be the most loved person on earth. Her works may not be printed in the best books ever published. But her true worth would remain in each child that had witnessed how unselfish she is, how good she is and how beautiful she is inside and out.

Although we all swear she truly does have eyes in the back of her head, I believe she would be more of a #LogiSuperMum and able to keep a keen eye on the new generation if she had a Logitech Circle Smart Home Camera in her arsenal. Not only great for babysitting, but also a means for her to be more aware of her surrounds for safety sake – more so now that she in entering her “golden years” (she is even tech savvy enough that she wouldn’t even need our help to set it up for her!).

Mom is in her 43rd (and final) year of service as a Surgical Nurse. Add to this her devotion for her own children, nieces, nephews, and the next generation of youngsters thereafter; and it is safe to say she has spent the majority of her life dedicated toward the needs of others before her own. Still, She continues to put on a smile and keeping one foot ahead of another in her tireless quest to serve, love, and Mother.
Thank you Ma, we are blessed.

Her sacrifice for us, and now everything she does to help with the newest addition to the family –

My daughter is an awesome Mom who has blessed me with the most gorgeous grandson. She always manages to make time for me in her very busy schedule as a working Mom but most importantly puts the needs of her child first. We love spending time with our lovely grandson and having a logitech camera would be perfect in our house to keep an eye on our boisterous and adventurous grandson #LogiSuperMum

My Mom is a greatgrandma who adores all her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren as much as we love our own grandson. A Logitech camera would definitely ease her mind when she has all of them visiting. She is a really fun and loving person who despite her age, is extremely active and loves entertaining the kids. #LogiSuperMum
