After a month’s break (September was a little cray cray for Sarah and me), our next MamaMeetUpSA event needed to be a biggie, and a biggie it was, at Discovery Vitality’s HealthyFood Studio at their Sandton building. You might remember that I went on a course a few weeks ago (I wrote about it here), and just loved it, and we knew the moms would too. I mean, what’s not to love about delicious food, an incredible setting (kitchen goals right here), and lovely company?
Our theme was Lunch on the Go, and here’s what our incredible menu looked like:
And here’s Sarah and me, hard at work posing:
The studio is open to the public for courses, and each course involves demonstrations, cooking and a sitdown meal. The chefs are dynamic, the dishes healthy and delish, and the learning is fun (each time I’ve learnt some great food tips).
We were 24 on the day of our meetup, and we had so much fun watching the dems, cooking and eating. It’s a pretty easy process as all the ingredients are laid out for you, and there’s no washing up to be done. This is basically any mother’s dream.
Current HealthyFood Studio courses include festive feasts, seasonal delights – summer, plants based – with a twist, everything fish, seasonal delights – summer, all about veggies, all about chicken, healthy braai, and kids healthy fast food (for kids aged 8 to 12). There are also date nights, and with a fantastic outdoor area on the studio, and gorgeous views over Sandton, I imagine these will be incredible.
