When I worked at a food magazine, we used to do quick Q&As with foodies, and one of the questions we always asked them was what they always have in their fridge. Their answers were always really interesting – from apples and Champagne to brie cheese and imported butter.
Moms tend to have different fridge necessities, and most mothers will always list a bottle of wine as a must-feature. Ditto me. I always have bubbly and Chardonnay in the fridge – waiting for an occasion or a guest (we’re more the whisky and gin fans).
I’ll also always have the following: fat-free milk (me), full-cream milk (kids), cheese, sugar-free tonic water (see the reason above), whatever fruit is in season, carrots, cottage cheese and yoghurt.
I eat yoghurt for breakfast most days – either in a smoothie, mixed with rolled oats, or the “main attraction” and sprinkled with seeds. My kids barely go a day without some yogurt for breakfast, snacktime, lunch or supper (yes – we sometimes eat “breakfast” for supper), and most days I’ll put some in Rebecca and Max’s school bags as a snack.
There’s much research about how healthy yoghurt is, especially plain yoghurt that hasn’t been sweetened – either with sugar or with sweeteners. It’s not to say that sweetened yoghurt is “bad”, but the advice here, like with anything (including my G&Ts), is to consume it moderately.

Eating Vitamin E rich foods such as sunflower seeds/sunflower oil, peanut butter, almonds, avos and hazel nuts can help you treat and prevent diseases of the heart and blood vessels, chest pains, high blood pressure and blocked or hardened arteries.

Vitamin B is known as a complex vitamin because it comes in 8 forms; vitamin B1 (Thiamine), vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), vitamin B3 (Niacin), vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), vitamin B7 (biotin), vitamin B9 (folic acid) and vitamin B12 (cobalamin). These can be found naturally in meat, leafy greens, dairy, beans, peas and whole or fortified grains.
