If you buy a giant muffin this September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) from Mugg n Bean , R5 will be donated to Cupcakes of Hope, a non-profit organisation that aims to raise awareness and funds for families in need of medical assistance.

Currently, between 800 and 1 000 South African children are diagnosed with cancer annually.
Many childhood cancers are treatable,
with success rates of between 70% and 80% in well-resourced countries.
According to the South African Medical Journal, the overall survival rate for
childhood cancer in South Africa remains low when compared to international
Mugg & Bean hopes to increase access to treatment for children with cancer and play a part in improving the overall survival rate. Mugg & Bean has supported Cupcakes of Hope since 2012. Last year, Muffins for Kids with Cancer was launched to help raise funds for Little Giants like four-year-old Olwethu, who dreams of being a fashion designer, and three-year-old animal lover, Kajal.
