Win a R1 000 hamper with Bavaria

December 4, 2019

This week, Bavaria is giving away a hamper worth R1 000, as part of their Everyday Heroes campaign.

The hamper includes:

  • Swiss Cougar Rome Solar 8000mah power bank
  • Swiss Cougar Tokyo Wireless Charger and Bluetooth Speaker
  • 700ml Omega water bottle
  • Case of Bavaria 0.0% malt beverage product

You might remember that a few months ago Bavaria celebrated an everyday hero in the form of mom-to-be, Itumeleng, who made the sacrifice of having to leave her family behind in her home country to have a better life in SA.

Bavaria set up a beautiful surprise baby shower for Itumeleng, but it was to be a double surprise as her mom from Zimbabwe had flown in for the event (you can see more here).

In the latest video, called Designated Driver, Bavaria celebrates cab driver Saul Makhodo, who has been driving countless passengers safely to their destinations for more than 10 years. While every day comes with responsibility for a taxi driver, the festive season brings more celebration, and their jobs to get us to point B become even more important.

To say cheers, Bavaria arranged a memorable night for Saul, giving him a break from the wheel, and allowing him to spend some special time with his family. Saul was treated to an incredible rooftop dinner with his two daughters, and was surprised by the visit of his wife from Venda, whom he hadn’t seen in several weeks due to being constantly on the road, against the backdrop of a beautiful Johannesburg night sky.

Bavaria supports not only safe driving, but safe celebration, and encourages everyone to have fun and party sensibly and responsibly – this festive season and beyond.

The campaign highlights Bavaria as the perfect party drink for when you’re driving, as well as the brand’s respect for and thanks to drivers like Saul who allow others to drink, and get home without harm.

This
giveaway is open to South African residents only. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash, or anything else from Bavaria.

Very inspiring actually, that a taxi driver makes it his mission to get others home safely and Bavaria 0 percent alcahol is a great beverage to have when you want to drive after.

The part he says passengers are very very drunk and then he goes on to say they must choose a taxi to avoid their problems. This shows he cares about people and their safety and its safer to use a taxi when drunk. A really remarkable individual.

I think my favourite moment is when we see his really happy emotional smile as he realises his daughters and wife organised this special evening off just for him. I am sure all his hard work was not in vain as he knows they appreciate him.
Not only that, he makes the best and the most out of his job…..and I hope I will have the privilege of being driven by him and evening. One would feel totally safe with him.

By the way I don’t drink and this would be IDEAL to take with everywhere over the holiday season.

We so often forget that service delivery people such as taxi drivers also have families and sacrifice precious family time to get us home safely. I love his smile when he sees his daughters- I am going to give my family an extra special hug this evening
