This app is a brilliant peak into the human body, without any squeamishness or gore, making this as awesome for kids as it is for adults (I had great fun trying it).

There’s been a lot of hype around this app and rightly so – it has beautiful animations and it’s quite interactive and educational. It’s also “safe” for kids, and they won’t be exposed to anything too graphic or difficult to understand. There’s also a multi-user system – each child can choose and name their own body avatar, and there’s also a parent dashboard that allows you to monitor what your child is doing on the app.

There are six basic anatomy lessons that look at the skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, and digestive systems. The best part though is the interactivity – you can zoom in and see certain body functions such as air moving in and out the lungs, an blood moving through the arteries.

It’s not always obvious what each of the six systems does, so you’ll need to poke around a bit and touch things to see the results. I had no use for them, but there are other functions like a voice recorder for parents and children to ask each other questions. The app is also available in 50 languages.

Available on iTunes for $2.99. It’s money well spent – this is a goodie!
