This app is so interactive and fun that I almost forgot that maths skills were being taught and encouraged. Zorbit’s Math Adventure is about an alien Zorbit, who plans to is going to earth. In order for him to get there with his friends, he needs help, and there are six activities that need to be completed, each one teaching concepts like matching, colours, shapes, sizes, above and below, and number order.

It’s a relaxed and fun app, and there’s “guidance” through the tasks, and no “low scores” for mistakes. Kids can move at their own level, and get stickers and stars for completing tasks.

What I’m starting to appreciate with kids’ apps, including this one, is that you don’t need internet access, and there are no in-app purchases available.
