About two weeks ago via Twitter direct message, Sarah from lifestyle, beauty and parenting blog Mascara and Mimosas and I decided to host an informal mom meetup.
We put the word out on Twitter and Instagram, and got stunning brands to sponsor prizes and goodie bags, and some stellar moms to join us on the day at Huddle Park. It was so relaxed, and it was amazing to meet new moms, connect with old ones, and finally meet some "faces" who I've only connected with online.
There was also a huge spirit of giving as the moms brought their old baby goods plus new nappies, toileteries and formula for The Grace Factory, a charity that supports disadvantaged moms.
I was so busy yakking that I didn't take any pictures – I'm grateful to Sarah who did, and here are some of her pics. Sarah also did the decor and all our invites, so it's clear who the creative one is.
We're looking forward to more events like these, with more organsiation, time, prizes and treats next time!
