The most fashionable (and awesome) thing to do with your previously loved clothes

October 28, 2014

How’s this for a fashion-forward charity idea? The Empty Shop, opening in Sandton City this week, is an award-winning project that started in Brazil, and which runs until November 16.

Instead of taking (buying) clothes from the shop, people are urged to bring their clothes in, which will eventually be donated to charity after being curated and put on display.

This is more about how it works:

The Empty Store, a joint project by Sandton City and McCann is in the Checkers Court, and is open from Monday to Thursday 9am to 7pm, Friday 9am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm. So if you’ve got unwanted clothes, and are in the area, put your best foot forward and head to The Empty Store.
