Look at this beautiful range of clothing that tells the story of kids facing life-threatening illnesses

July 23, 2019

There have been beautiful and big-hearted acts of charity and kindness this month, around Mandela Day. But one that’s pulling my own heart is Keedo’s Warrior of Hope campaign, featuring a range of clothing that pays tribute to the lives of kids with life-threatening illnesses, and to remind us of little warriors who fight big illnesses every day.

The new range represents bringing light into the darkness, and hope and colour to the lives of those who need it.

Keedo wants to inspire kids that there is hope in darkness, and to remind others that every day kids are fighting illness in oncology wards, being brave, and finding smiles. Keedo calls these beautiful kids the Warriors of Hope.

Keedo explains that their designs incorporate both the dark times faced by children suffering from cancer, and the bright, unbreakable spirits of these little soldiers. They also incorporate dark colours, stripes, colourful polka dots, and yellow cancer pom-poms. The designs illustrate the contrast between children who suffer internally, but still wipe their parent’s tears and make each other laugh in oncology wards around the world.

Says Keedo: “This humbling journey takes us to the highest highs and lowest lows; and losses that we don’t always understand. Like the loss of Zeake Swart, a very brave girl who inspired so many others with unwavering hope, joy and kindness. This collection tells the story of real children like Zeake, facing life-threatening fears with smiles on their faces.”

As part of the Warriors of Hope campaign, Keedo has partnered up with Footprints 4 Sam to help families and their children who have life-threatening illnesses. By donating R10 you can help us make a difference in the lives of many children who are facing an invisible enemy. To donate, please visit www.keedo.co.za or donate in-store at any Keedo store nationwide.
