My top dresses to buy right now

August 22, 2019

Can you feel it… the smell of jasmine is in the air, the blossoms are out, the birds are singing early in the morning, and it’s getting warm enough to step out in a summer frock (if you’re in Durbs, you’ll know this feeling already).

Superbalist asked me to pick my favourite summer dresses, and I’ve chosen some that I’d love to step out in this season (I just need to work on getting ridding of my pasty pale leg colour!)

You can shop for these or any of their dresses online or via the app (download here for the Android app and here for iOS).

Lili dress, Vero Modo, R499

This one is light and lovely, and could go beautifully with heels for a smarter look, or sandals for something more relaxed.

Button down V-neck floral maxi, Revenge, R849

I love this maxi dress with the button-down detail, and I would wear it just as styled – with some flat sneakers, or even some high-top Converse.

Buang tunic, Amanda Laird Cherry, R999

I love Amanda Laird Cherry dresses, and they last forever. I adore this dress print, and like its versatility in summer (with sleeves rolled up) and even winter (with tights and boots).

Flared floral print dress, Mango, R1 199

Simple and pretty, this dress can is a spring and summer staple, and can be dressed up or down.

Star 3/4 dress, Only, R449

I love this print, and I find belted dresses like these flattering.

Printed wrap dress, Mango, R849

This crossover design and side bow are gorgeous, as well as the fabric. The batwing sleeves also get a high five from me.

Mia V-neck dress, Amanda Laird Cherry, R1 199

This fabric + the sleeves + the back + the flare at the bottom = perfection. I’ve added this one to my cart.

Reina V-neck fit flare dress, Cotton On, R299

I bought this dress in December, and it was my most well loved, worn and complimented dress. It has a great elasticated waistline.

A-line dress with ties, Superbalist, R449

This is such a pretty print, that’s great for nippier spring days.

Flora lulu front to back reversible dress, Ruff Tung, R999

If you like bold fabrics in styles that aren’t run-of-the-mill, then you *need* something from Ruff Tung. This reversible dress is also in my cart.

Disclosure: I received a Superbalist voucher for this post
