Party inspiration: “Flower crown” baby shower

January 26, 2016

I"m excited to be featuring parties here again, and I've got some cool ones lined up (thanks to those who have submitted theirs already).

I'm kicking off with a baby shower that Paula Schefermann's arranged for her sister Claire. I know Paula from social media, and i've met her twice at educational events. I know her to be quirky, funny, smart and creative, and I loved the original party she organised.

Says Paula: "I had always wanted to host a “flower crown” making party so my sister, Claire’s babyshower was the perfect excuse. She was having another little girl it was the perfect theme to have with us girls. We held it last year in August during winter so our flower variety wasn’t that great. As this was her second baby we kept it small and low key at her beautiful home in South Downs Estate."

It was a real old fashion event, where everyone brought something to share. I provided the flowers and florist wire, everyone else had to bring their own creativity.

A party like this is so easy to host and actually in terms of décor very cost effective as I used the laying out of flowers as the decorations. If you are hosting a party with a crowd that may be tired of the same baby shower games this is great fun, social and provides a really great take home gift!"
