So I must be honest that the first thing I went to, and the thing I lingered at the most, at the Exclusive Books preview winter sale was the Gruffalo section.

There were plush toys, pencils, pencil sets, notebooks and puzzles, and after taking it all in, plus the kids’ books, only then did I head for the cookbooks and novels.

Gruffalo swag aside, it looks like another good sale, and it starts on Wednesday morning 26 June at 7.30am. Exclusive Books say that every day they’ll be unpacking new boxes of stock, and replenishing the tables throughout (which means that if you go a week after the sale starts, you might still find the great stuff, and some new stuff).
