Quaker Oats now available in South Africa

August 6, 2015

I’ve read enough American magazines and watched enough TV to recognise and know about Quaker Oats, a 135-year-old food and cereal company. If you’re a fan of quick-cook oats products, then you’ll probably be happy to know that Quaker is available in South Africa from the middle of July, with their Quaker Oats Heaps of Fruit.

Quaker Oats Heaps of Fruit range

It contains real pieces of fruit, and 100% wholegrain oats, with no preservatives. I initially thought that they were instant oats, but it’s actually a quick-cook product – you add milk, and cook for two minutes in the microwave.

They come in sachets (cool for popping into handbags and laptop bags if you’re on the go and don’t have time for breakfast at home), and they’re available in four flavour combinations: Apple & Cherry, Summer Berries (my top flavour), Blackberry & Apple and Banana & Strawberry.

Quaker Oats Heaps of Fruit will be available nationally from selected retailers at a recommended selling price of R 44.99 per box (containing 8 sachets).
