For 20 years, one of the most loved and established community loyalty programmes, MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet has been contributing to the organstions that need support, and today the programme raises more than R6 million a month to a wide range of schools, charities and conservation organisations. More than R500 million has been donated over the last 20 years!

They're celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and they're doing something special to celebrate. Twenty customers can each win a R20 000 cash donation for the charity of their choice, plus a R20 000 gift card for themselves.
All you need to do to enter is mention which of the MySchool causes you support on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, using the hashtag #MySchool20.
To show their support for my beneficiary of choice, MySchool kindly donated R5 000 to Starfish, an organisation that supports vulnerable and orphaned children affected by HIV and poverty in South Africa.

If you aren't part of the 1.2 million MySchool supporters, you can get a MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card for free and select the schools or charities you wish to support (you can choose up to three). You can register online at www.myschool.co.za, call 0860 100 445, download the app or get a card at your local Woolworths store. It’s quick and easy, and there are no hidden costs or catches.
When you buy any items from participating retailers (Woolworths, Engen, Loot, Flight Centre and Bidvest Waltons) and swipe your card or enter card details with the purchase, a small percentage of their transaction is then allocated to their beneficiary school or charity.
The partner stores pay the donation on behalf of the cardholder. All these transactions are recorded and a statement is sent to individual supporters on a monthly basis. The supporter card is not a credit or debit card but simply tracks transactions and funds raised.
