A great natural insect repellant for kids

December 18, 2012

If you’re looking for an effective product that makes the bugs bug off, without being harmful to your kids or the environment, then you should try Eco.kid Bug-a-Bug hypo allergenic repellant.

I’m not a fan of hardcore repellants or Deet for little ones, I find Citronella oil messy and foul-smelling, and the one “natural thing” that has been working this summer is a fan in my son’s room to get rid of the mozzies.

I recently tried Eco.kid Bug-a-Bug which was sent to me, and it’s been working well, even without the fan. It’s a spray and is easy to apply, and has a strong smell, which is not too unpleasant.

Apparently the product contains organic plant extracts from the Amazonian rainforest area, which repels insects naturally. I love that Eco.kids products also have a “pinky swear” promise stating that there is no bad stuff in the range, and only flowers and trees, oils and leaves that are organically certified are used.

Available from around R165 for 200ml. For stockist details, go to the Eco.kid website and to buy online click here.
