In an age of sharing, taking pics, and more sharing, it’s great that we have a wide range of apps that remind us what we posted on various social media platforms. I’ve been enjoying Timehop for the last few months, where each day I’m reminded of the good times, the not so good, the great pics, and the pics that are so badly composed I wish I had never posted them.
My new memory maker is Memoir (free for iOS), which works a lot like Timehop (which I assume many of you are using already), but has a few more functions. With Memoir, you can see what pics you took or what you did on social media to the day a year or several years ago, and share these memories on social media. Which pretty much sounds the same as the other app, right?
But, with Memoir, you can make your own memory folders, and you can search per date and per location for memories. So, if you’re looking for a selfie you took on the beach with your bestie, or a pic of your child eating solids for the first time, you can search for it, rather than it coming to you on the anniversary you took it.
You can sync the app with your camera roll, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Dropbox, and you can also get Memoir on your Mac which will gather pics from there to the app. Unless you decide to share them, all your memories are private, and only you can see them.
With a beautiful interface, and some great features, I love this memory-lane and memory-maker app. Dare I say it? It’s memorable. There, I said it.
