App of the week: Petting Zoo (for adults and kids)

April 18, 2013
Petting Zoo is the app everyone is talking about for its brilliant animations and interactivity. It’s so good that adults and kids are loving it.

Petting Zoo was launched earlier this year at Design Indaba in Cape Town and is a storybook by illustrator and writer Christopher Niemann.

It’s like a storybook with no words – instead there is music, and images and animations that are all interactive. For example, you can play with a lion’s mane, add quills to a porcupine, and tap a bunny to stretch it or make it bounce. You basically control or manipulate the animations.

I’m kind of at a loss of what else to say, or how to explain it fully, so I’ll just say this: Download it.
