Not since Kiehl’s and Typo have I been this excited about an opening in Sandton City. Belle’s Patisserie (you can find them in Blubird, Birnam) have opened a kiosk (though it’s grander than that, with seating too) in Sandton City, on the lower level by Edgars.

You can expect crois-nuts, cupcakes (their red velvet was named the best in Joburg), cakes, pastries, sandwiches, scones, breads, coffees, teas, frozen drinks and ice teas.

It’s hard to name my favourite indulgence there – it would be between the custard crois-nut, the Ferrero Rocher cake, or the cake pops. Or the pink rainbow cake. Or the red velvet cheesecake. Or the cheese straws (see, I have a problem).

The idea behind the kiosk is that you can order and sit, or order and go (everything is beautifully packaged). I love this brilliant drink-and-cupcake holder – you choose your hot drink and cupcake, and pay R35.
