According to a report by app analytics company Adjust, there are around 367 960 kids’ apps on the Apple app store, and around 318 670 in the Google Play store.
The Apple app store has 2 255 apps to help children with their homework, while there are around 1 008 for Android. The report found that there were 21 791 maths apps and 698 timetable apps.
The Adjust report says the rise in app development for children follows the trend of families exposing children to mobile devices from birth.
Out of all of those, the report says the most positively rated kids app in the Apple store is Bugs and Buttons, an app by American developer Little Bit Studio.

According to the report, nearly one in five apps on iTunes is appropriate for young children. Sixty percent of the apps in the Kids section of iTunes are in the Education category, although nearly half of those are also in the Games category.
