It adds to my enjoyment of tech when the tech itself is pretty and stylish, but that's not the only reason I love the Sudio (a top Swedish brand that's now available here) Vasa Blå earphones. I mean, they really are pretty in pink, have a flat rubber neckband, are perhaps the most stylish wireless earphones I've seen.

Aeshetics aside, these Sudio earphones deliver good sound, which is obviously what you expect in a device like this. I unfortunately couldn't tell you the base, treble, low or high frequency workings, but I'm pretty sure that you might not even care. Suffice to say that I listen to audiobooks happily in traffic, podcasts while running, and music everywhere else, and the listening experience is fantastic.

The wirelss experience is liberating, and I'm not sure I could easily go back to wired earphones after this, particularly for running and gym. For those wondering how they work wirelessly, they connect to your mobile device via Blutooth. The earphones have a three-button control and microphone down the right-hand side, while the left side has the battery unit. There's a battery life of eight hours, and when it's low, you'll hear a beeping sound, alerting you. You charge the earphones via Micro USB.

I like that the Vasa Blå come with four pairs of extra "sleeves" (those things you put in your ears), leather carrying case and metal, along with a charging cable and battery. It's available in three other colours – rose gold black, rose gold white, and blue, and costs R1 530.
