If you're gluten-intolerant, or staying away from sugar, yet you still want a sweet treat now or over Easter, Fresh Earth in Emmarentia, Joburg has you covered.
Their hot cross muffins (R25 each) have no gluten or sugar, and while I'm not a massive fan of hot cross anything, these were good to my taste, and nothing felt "missing". Also in the new treats range is the fruit ball jar (R145), in three different flavours: sunflower, coconut and sesame seed. These are more'ish, and would make for great gifts for anyone, including those Banting as they have no sugar. The muffins can be bought fresh instore, while the jars can also be bought online.
