Here's something I'm really excited about – black dolls with natural hair. Because let's face it, there's a slim offering of dolls of different races on shelves.
The Malaville Debut Collection is a range of dolls with a variety of brown skin tones and hair curls, coils and textures. Malaville Toys was founded by st Lucian international model, businesswoman and doll collector, Mala Bryan, who now lives in Cape Town, because she had identified the need for more-curly haired black and brown dolls at an affordable price.

The Malaville dolls also have a more natural look, with little to no make-up, and according to them, are safety tested and manufactured using high quality and non-toxic materials.
The Malaville dolls can be bought online from www.malavilletoys.com. They are also sold at Carne SA Restaurant at 153 Kloof Street, Cape Town. The dolls retail at R300 each and can be shipped anywhere in South Africa.
