Forget slides that go straight, and monkey bars without the monkey. Danish design company Monstrum has created creative and innovative playgrounds around the world with amazing features. They might feature the good ‘ol favourites, but there’s something a little more magical – for example, kids can crawl inside a whale’s mouth and into its tummy; look at the ‘starry sky’ in a tower; bounce on an alphabet; and “escape” from a sinking cargo ship.

In Gorky Park in Moscow, Mostrum constructed a giant octopus overtaking a huge oceanliner, complete with slides, cargo nets and climbing walls.
