Just when I was thinking of how big Pantone is for adults (iPad covers, cellphone covers, mugs, containers etc in Pantone colours), I discover Pantone colour books for babies and toddlers.

They look really cool, and I haven’t tried them, so I can’t speak from personal experience. I have just ordered them from Book Depository with free shipping – yay!).

There is Pantone: Box of Colour, a set of six small, chunky board books, one for each of red, yellow, green, purple, orange and blue. Each book includes cut-outs of common objects against different shades of each colour.

Pantone Colors introduces kids to nine basic colours and 20 shades of each. Children can learn that a colour name refers to range of dark, light and in-between tones.

Pantone: Colour Cards has 18 flashcards, made up of two tones of each of the nine basic colours. With a solid colour on one side of the card and a modern, illustrated pattern of animals or objects in shades of the same colour family on the other, the cards are educational and beautiful.
