How’s this for a wonderful theme – “You are my sunshine”, which Lauren Hamilton put together for her son Tyler’s first birthday party. Lauren, one of my fave Twitter friends, described the party:

“Theme: You are my sunshine (we chose 3 colors: yellow, blue and green)

Place: We had it at home on a sunny day, although it threatened to rain most of the afternoon, it thankfully never did

Party favours: Each little guest walked away with a tin watering can filled with sweets

Cake: by the talented Melanie of La Meli – it was a layered cake, each layer was a different color , we also had a smaller cake made for him for his “cake smash”

Tyler had a lovely day spent in the sunshine with his family and friends. He really is the sunshine in our lives 🙂 ”
