This week I went to the launch of a girls’ and baby girls’ clothing range called Soapbox, and the only word to describe its clothing is “ravishing”.
Soapbox is where beautiful fabrics and textures meet gorgeous design, and it’s clear that designer Kristin Masters has made a range to make every girl feel like a princess. Kristin, a wedding-dress designer and mom, was frustrated at the lack of beautiful, whimsical and original special-occasion clothing for girls, so started Soapbox (the names suggests a literal soapbox – for girls to have a platform to stand out and show their personality).
The range caters to girls from ages three months to seven years, and will be updated twice a year (for spring/summer, and autumn/winter), with some occasion clothing for Easter and Christmas etc thrown in.
The range is not cheap – babygrows start at R280, and the most expensive dress is R1 500, but if you’re looking for something special, or for an occasion, your money will likely see you and a little girl feeling glorious.
You can buy online, items are delivered to your door, and you can purchase gift cards too.
