It started off with beauty products, but now baby and toddler products are being gifted and packaged into boxes, and each month you pay for and order a “surprise box” filled with goodies. I love the idea of getting a hamper each month, and getting to try out products that have been handpicked for you, an that you’ve probably never tried before. While you might not always love everything in your box, especially when it comes to beauty products (lipsticks in colours you don’t wear, or skincare products that don’t match your type), it’s a good and fun offering.
I got my first My Baby Boxes this month, and waited in excitement the whole weekend, ever since getting an SMS notification that they’d been dispatched. Then on the day of delivery, I got another SMS notification to say that it was being delivered. Great service…
The July Baby Box: 3 x Fruit Pack, 1 x HiPP Little Nibbles, 1 x Wabbit taglet (pictured below), 1 x HiPP organic cocoa and vanilla dessert (one of the most delicious low-fat desserts I’ve ever eaten), 1 x Giwuff, 5 x Bennett’s samples (nipple cream, bum cream and tooth wipes), 1 x R30 discount coupon at www.ecobaby.co.za
The June Baby Box: 1 x Wabbit, 1 x Wabbit beanie, 2 x HiPP organic jars, 1 x Scheckter’s Organic Energy, 1 x Iliadin saline nasal drops, 2 x Palmer’s massage lotion for stretch marks, 2 x Babaderm samples (baby shampoo and conditioner and nappy cream), 2 x Bennetts baby tooth wipes samples, 1 x R30 discount coupon for www.ecobaby.co.za, 1 x M.O.M (Most Organised Mom) journal.
I love the collection, and I like how top brands have been chosen. What appeals to me is that products like shampoo and bum cream are in sample form – these are things I would like to try out first before “investing” in them.
With My Baby Box, you can choose from four boxes: Preggy Box (from R130), Baby Box (from R130), Toddler Box (from R130), and Gift Box (from R300). It’s easy to sign up and order, and boxes are hand delivered to your door, the cost of which is included in your box. If you don’t live in a major city or courier catchment area, you can still subscribe, paying an additional fee for the delivery. You can opt out of your subscription at any time, so you’re not obligated for a set period.
