Don’t you love freebies, or getting a little somethin’ somethin’ extra when you buy something? And isn’t it just as great when that something is for the kids, and ticks the fun AND education boxes.

Well, Burger King has done just that, and following on from their fantastic Dino Cards campaign last year, this time round they have BK® Gone Wild Cards, which come free with every King JR™ meal (comprising a drink, chicken or beef burger, and fries). There are 25 cards to collect, and each meal comes with a pack of three cards.

On the surface, these animal cards seem like cool animal collectables with some information, and a super interesting “Guess what” fact. There are known favourites such as elephant and lion, and lesser-known animals such as the American bison and blue whale shark.

But wait, there’s more…

The cards are supported by an app called BK® Gone Wild, and when you scan one of the animal cards using the app, the animal comes to “life”, using augmented reality. It’s fun for kids to engage with the cards like this, and it’s quite remarkable watching your animal move as you shift the position of your tablet or phone’s camera.

So that you and your kids can have some fun learning, Burger King is giving away a voucher worth R1000, and a full set of cards.
