Win the hottest gadget right now… the Nutribullet Baby Bullet

August 28, 2017

One of the most loved kitchen gadgets has a cute little mini-me, and it’s just as useful as its original. It’s the Nutribullet Baby Bullet, and like its “parent”, it whizzes up purees and smoothies in a flash. To work it, you pop your ingredients into the cup, twist on the blending blade, put the cup onto the power base, push, and twist, and in seconds you have a puree. And yeehaaa – we’re giving away one this week!

The Baby Bullet can blitz steamed veggies and fruit, or soft fruit, to make healthy purees for your baby. Call it a glorified blender, but this one has some cool accessories/features that take it a step up.

For starters, you can add warm foods to the batch bowl as there is a vent to release steam. There are short cups that allow you to either make one portion (great for on-the-go feeding) – start a puree from scratch, or pop in your family texture and process for an easier consistency for your baby. There’s a millling blade so you can make your own cereals – add rice, oats or whole grains to the cup, and process. I made my oats cereal from rolled oats, and it worked superbly – all I added to it was some cooled boiled water, and Rebecca had a “clean” and nutritious breakfast.

The Baby Bullet comes with six storage cups for you to keep in the frige or freezer. There’s a date dial function so that you can keep track of when you made the food (easier than writing with a marker, or sticking on a label). The cups and containers are made out of non-toxic high-impact plastic, and contain no BPA or Phthalates. If baby drops one, it won’t break.

The set also comes with a cookbook and “pocket nutritionist” with guidance and tips on the best nutrition for your infant.

It’s worth mentioning that while the Baby Bullet blends and mills, it’s not a juicer, and you won’t get a juice or puree by putting in raw carrots or apples. You’ll need to steam or soften them first. I’m only mentioning this because I’ve often seen people ask if the Nutribullet can juice raw fruit and veg.

It’s available for R1599 from Wellness Warehouse.
