Win Sasol books for kids and Young Explorer apps

August 1, 2016

You might not know you want or need this prize of Sasol's kids' books and Sasol Young Explorer apps, but you do. Why? Because Sasol has made the most exceptional animal tracks and seashore life books, though the highlight for me is their Young Explorer mammals and frogs apps, which are way beyond any of the nature/wildlife apps I've seen for kids locally or abroad, for that matter (I wrote and raved about the mammals app here).

This week, you can win:

  • 1 copy of Sasol Young Explorer Mammals app
  • 1 copy of Sasol Young Explorer Frogs app
  • 1 copy of My First Book of Animal Tracks (published by Struik Nature)
  • 1 copy of My First Book of Seashore Life (published by Struik Nature)

Two runners-up will each win the Sasol Young Explorer Mammals app, and the Sasol Young Explorer Frogs app.

Here's some more about the products:

My First Book of Southern African Animal Tracks

This book introduces 55 different types of animals and the footprints they leave behind. The animals and birds included are those that you are likely to findon visits to nature reserves or game parks – or even in gardens. For each species featured, the book gives life-sized track ‘imprints’, a full-colour illustration of the animal and a visual size comparison with a human body, arm or hand, and a short description in four languages of each creature and its prints.

My First Book of Seashore Life

This book introduces more than 50 of the diverse creatures and plants found on beaches and in rock pools along the southern African coastline, such as anemones, limpets, sea slugs, seaweeds and many others. It provides visual clues to creatures’ size, diet, and where to find them, along with simple text on their behavior and habits. Vivid illustrations will encourage an interest in shore life and the important role played by these beautiful plants and animals.

Sasol Young Explorer Mammals app

This is a beautiful, exciting and interactive multilingual app that introduces kids to 60 African mammals. Kids can choose from four languages, and there are so many layers of content and learning – there are games, videos, facts and animal calls.

It's available on Android and iOS, and is still one of my top 10 kids' apps ever.
