I'm so glad that Rock-a-Baby is around the corner, a curated baby fair that offers much cute, style and variety. Forget an exhausting, pram-bumping, mass-produced baby expo, and think of a shopping event that won't leave you exhausted, but rather inspired (and probably with some Instagram-worthy goods to take home).

Rock-a-Baby supports the best of local designers, small businesses and innovative products in this niche mom and baby space. At the fair, you can expect special products that make a nursery or wardrobe even more special, and with a few months until Christmas, it's a good chance to get ahead with present buying.

Now in its third year, Rock-a-Baby, South Africa’s most beautiful baby fair, was started by sisters Alex Royston, Bailey Bezuidenhout and Cheska Stark, founders of blog Kimmy & Bear, which is one of my favourite and most bookmarked sites. These sisters not only have an eye for gorgeous things, but are creative too (you kind of want to create a PInterest board or wishlist with all their favourite and own items).

Also have a look at Bailey's awesome Instagram account, What The Twins Wore, to see more of what I mean.

So what can you expect at Rock-a-Baby? Well, everything from luxurious pajamas for moms to handmade dolls and party accessories, heirloom blankets and on-trend clothing. There are also beautifully crafted toys, nursery furniture and stylish maternity wear. Some of my favourite vendors are Love Sam clothing, Lonzi & Bean maternity wear, Jeankelly bags and Little Interiors (but honestly, there are so many amazing products on the day, that it's a bit unfair to pick my bests). There will also be food stalls at the fair.

The fair will take place at The Tin Factory in Kramerville on Saturday, 17 September (9am – 4pm) and Sunday, 18 September (9am – 2pm). Tickets are R50 each, and available at Webtickets or at the door. For more information, go to the Rock-a-Baby Facebook page
