Certainly one of my son’s most-anticipated films of the year, Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue will be out on circuit on Friday. We saw the preview in Cape Town this week and it’s loads of fun.
The short story: Dusty’s engine is damaged so he can’t race anymore. He becomes a firefighter, and makes some friends, and finds new strengths aside from his speed.
There are some funny moments and some funnier scenes that mostly adults will get, which is what we can always expect from Disney. Voices include Dane Cook, Ed Harris and Julie Bowen (from Modern Family). Darren Wackhead Simpson also has a bit voice role as Drip, one of the firefighters.

Good to know
