My big little dude turned four on Sunday, and owing to his obsession with fire engines, we held his party at Sandton Fire Station (we booked the venue in April because apparently September is a red-hot month for parties at the station).
I’m not great with decor and details, so I asked Nadia Moosa to handle all the decorating, while Belle’s Patisserie did all the food and the fire engine cake. Catherine Scott took the gorgeous pictures (all her images feature in this post), and Dean from Noogieville baked cookies with the kids.
The one thing no one could organise was sunny weather, but not even the cold temperature could mar a party that involved red velvet cupcakes (voted Joburg’s best), rainbow cake, cake pops, cookie decorating and riding around in the fire engine several times. Even some of the adults had a ride, and the very gracious fireman let those riding upfront (like me) sound the siren.
Here are a selection of some of the pics – I’ll post the rest once I have all of them from Catherine.
